FIRST STEP
Switch the device off and leave it alone.
Do not install recovery software on the affected drive, do not format it and do not keep plugging it back in. Every use can overwrite the files you want back. A drive that clicks or heats up should stay unplugged.
Unreadable device

No, and nobody honestly can. The result depends on the condition of the device and on what happened since the data was lost. The diagnosis is there to give you a realistic picture of the chances and the price before you decide to go ahead with the recovery.
How much does recovery cost?
The price depends on the device and the fault. It is given after the diagnosis, before the recovery starts. Physical damage sent to a specialist laboratory is quoted separately.
Do my files stay confidential?
Yes. Your files are used only for the recovery you asked for. The working copy is deleted once your data has been returned.
